Who is responsible

When you visit the site
Server logs. Each time a page loads, our hosting provider Vercel processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and details about your browser. Without this data the site cannot be delivered or protected against attacks.
Visit statistics. We count visits with Plausible. Plausible sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors; we see only totals such as page views and where visits come from.
Fonts. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. In doing so, Google receives your IP address.
No cookies. This site sets no cookies.
When you contact us
If you use the form on this site, we process your name, your email address, your phone number and company if you give them, the topic you chose and your message. We store the enquiry in our client records system and notify our office by email, sent through Resend. If you email us at info@mtbadvisorsaustin.com, the message is delivered to our office through Cloudflare's email routing service. If you call us, we note what you tell us. We use this data to answer your enquiry and, if you engage us, to carry out the engagement.
When you engage us
For a consultation or an engagement we process your contact details, the information and documents you give us for the matter, our correspondence, and billing and payment records. Before an engagement starts we confirm the identity of our client and of the people who own or control a client company, and we keep a record of that check.
Card payments. If you pay by card, you enter your card details directly with Stripe; we never receive them. Stripe processes your payment and contact details to handle the payment and to prevent fraud, and tells us whether the payment was successful.
Bank transfers. With your payment, our bank receives your name, your account details and the payment reference.
Who receives your data
These service providers process personal data on our behalf, only for the purpose stated:
- Vercel Inc., USA: hosting of this site and of our client records system.
- Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia: cookie-free visit statistics.
- Google LLC, USA: fonts (Google Fonts).
- Cloudflare, Inc., USA: domain name service and email routing.
- Plus Five Five, Inc. (Resend), USA: delivery of our emails.
- Stripe, Inc., USA: card payments.
Where your matter requires it and you agree, we share information with the independent attorneys and CPAs working on it and with banks you apply to. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Where your data is processed
We are based in the United States, and your data is processed in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your data is transferred to the United States for that purpose.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data as long as we need it for your enquiry or engagement, and beyond that where record-keeping obligations require it or where we need it to establish or defend legal claims.
Security
The connection to this site is encrypted. No protection is perfect; please do not send especially confidential documents by ordinary email. Ask us for a secure way instead.
Children
Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights: to know what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent you have given. To exercise any of them, contact us using the details on this page. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Changes
We update this policy when our site, our service providers or the legal requirements change. The version published here, with the date at the top, applies.
