Fees and hourly rates
One way of billing for every service: an initial consultation, a written scope, then hourly billing at the rates published on this page. All prices are in US dollars.
The engagement model
Three steps, the same for every service.

Initial consultation
Up to 60 minutes with the founder, by phone or video call, for $850. We look at your plans, ask the questions a bank or partner will ask later, and tell you plainly what we would do.

Scoped engagement
If you want to go ahead, you receive a written scope: what we do, what we need from you, who else is involved and an estimate of the hours. Nothing starts until you accept it.

Hourly billing
We record time to the quarter hour at our published rates and invoice against the agreed scope. Timesheets come with every invoice on request.

The rate depends on who does the work. The written scope names the people working on your matter and estimates their hours.
Initial consultation
$850 for up to 60 minutes with Sebastian Sauerborn, by phone or video call. The fee is paid in advance when the appointment is confirmed.
If you are not satisfied within the first 15 minutes, you can end the call and receive the full fee back.
How we bill
- Time is recorded electronically and billed to the quarter hour.
- The written scope sets out the estimate and when invoices are issued.
- On request, every invoice comes with the timesheets behind it.
- Nothing renews automatically and we never charge a card without your instruction.
- Fees of independent attorneys and CPAs are quoted to you before they start, and you approve each quote.
- Government fees and other third-party costs are passed on at cost.
Payment
You can pay by card or by bank transfer in US dollars. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
